Our History

The O’Brien Family Funeral Home traces its beginnings to 2015, when T.J. O’Brien and his former business partner, Joe Curran, opened the Curran-O’Brien Funeral Home in a location that had long served South Hadley families. Their goal was to continue offering compassionate and reliable care within a familiar and trusted setting.

In 2021, T.J. assumed full ownership of the funeral home and welcomed his son Marty as a new partner, beginning a new era of family leadership. With the support of Mary O’Brien, the funeral home was renamed O’Brien Family Funeral Home, reflecting their shared commitment to being personally involved in every aspect of the care they provide.

Today, the O'Brien's are proud to live and work in the community they serve and consider it a privilege to support local families during their most difficult moments.
