T.J. O’Brien grew up in West Springfield and graduated from Williston Prep School in 1975. He attended the University of Massachusetts for 3 years, and transferred to New England Institute of Applied Arts and Sciences in Boston where he was licensed to become a funeral director/embalmer in 1979. T.J. resides in South Hadley with his wife Mary. His son Marty is also a Funeral Director and his daughter Kate Scott is the attorney for the City of West Springfield.

Marty has been a licensed funeral director since 2017. He resides in South Hadley with his wife Lauren and their two children.

She has been working in the funeral industry for over 20 years and is regarded as the most important member of the O'Brien Family team. She lives in South Hadley with her husband TJ and their dog, Mac. When she is not spending time at the funeral home, Mary enjoys time spent with her children and three loving grandchildren.
